About Us

Actors’ Moveable Theater was created to provide our acting company the opportunity to showcase acting talent in productions that are sophisticated, edgy and can be produced in a variety of venues.  We select shows that are suitable for a smaller ensemble and require minimal stagecraft and costumes.

Actors’ Moveable Theater performs in a variety of venues. We believe that the nature of the play helps determine its performance space. We seek to produce shows in which the characters and their stories are as relevant today as when they were first told. The venues we choose encourage actors to have an intimate experience with their audience.

Actors’ Moveable Theater doesn’t have open auditions for shows, but we are hunting actresses and actors. Please send us information about yourself to PO Box 5516, Athens, OH 45701 or email your actors@columbus.rr.com. If you fit a role in our productions, we’ll call for an interview/audition.

Every theater company needs a champion and advocate. Actors’ Moveable Theater is no exception. Seventy percent of our production expenses are covered by ticket sales; the balance comes from our faithful patrons.
